This is the beautiful sunset that I caught out of my office window looking out towards the Great Salt Lake in Farmington. It made my day so I thought I would share it!
The orange orchid below was given to me by Goose, my Grandma, when she moved. At the time I thought it was funky looking greenery! Boy was I surprised a year-and-half later when electric orange and magenta orchids bloomed!
I couldn't resist posting the latest pictures we've received from Elder Sam Bam Brewer! These are of his last area, Puerto Madryn! Apparently his new area is even more beautiful! And as you scroll down you will see Sam inches away from Penguins! I guess that is what you do when you hang out in the Patagonia on P-Day.
Monday was my boss's Birthday! On the friday prior to the big bash an email was sent out requiring all employees to wear cowboy garb. Needless to say all employees showed up decked out Monday morning! After the business items were conducted at Staff Meeting there was a song written, recorded and played entitled "Big Bad Dave" with very fitting lyrics. Next the boss's son read a poem with Prairie Oysters as the premise. With verbiage used such as, testicles and balls. There were many fun games, one of my favorites was a poster that said "Pin the tail on the Democrat" displaying the back side of my boss! After staff meeting we were served a delicious meal of Prairie Oysters and Lil' Smokies! Post lunch entertainment was a mechanical bulll in the back parking lot controlled by a gentleman with a narley Fu Manchu. I won the reward for the shortest ride, I stayed on the bull for approximately .08 seconds! I was forced to ride again to redeem myself! The video is posted below! I am am still working on my script to submit to the writers of The Office. It was better than any episode I have seen, and that is saying a lot because this season is off to a great start!
We Bello-brated at the Circus, a yearly tradition among Chris's family! I think I was just as captivated as my nieces except I was a little more creeped out by the performers and the animals! Debatable!
Elder Brewer has almost been serving in Neuquen Argentina for 6 months! WOW! A couple weeks ago Dru had Sam's Zone Leader to dinner. He brought a whole CD full of photos that Sam sent with him to deliver. It was so fun to hear stories about Sam and get all of our many questions answered! Between Dru, Dan & I we might have terrified him! I thought it would be fun for my friends & fam to see how he is doing! The first two pictures are of Sam at the airport. Dan helped him check his bags and hung with him up to Security. I was returning home from a business trip and happened to land 1 hour before he got to his terminal. We hit up the BK with his companions and he was able to save his phone card and use my cell to call family & maybe a friend or two!
Nuttin' better then enjoying a beautiful fall Saturday in Toole keeping it real at the race track chewing on some jerky! Chris's cousin Lindsay and her husband, Nate, invited us to the Rolex Race! It was surprisingly very entertaining especially when the cars came into the pit stops! If only Big-O could change tires that fast! I have been inspired to explore other occupations, I think I would be a great driver! As any good Dub-T would do, on the way home we stopped by the infamous Thompson's Smoke House where Chris bought 2 lbs of jerky! Dru was right, he is a carnivore!
Today I brought Rees to the office with me! I now have figured out what she does all day ... um sleep and snore! She almost snores as loud as I do zZzZzZzZzZZZ!!! I brought her little brown square nest bed & she just sits in it all day, even when I leave the room! I AM THE PACK LEADER!!!
